Doctor of Arts Katriina Ilmaranta founded Pixelmint to promote digital art. Her goal is to bring together state-of-the-art technologies with uncompromised vision. Thus, we relay on long-term research experience in digital visualization as well as artistic expression as the ultimate guiding star.
Embracing the idea of trusting the process makes the journey through artistic process fruitful. It is worthwhile to look around the corner and sometimes let even chance happen. Teamwork is best when inspiring for all members, and in this respect, trust and equality are essential starting points.
When working with technologies, you need to remind even yourself of the real goals. Technology is a powerful tool, but in the end, it's the human touch that counts. That's why we endorse imagination, and our preferred motto is: keep walking into the sanctuary of the mind and focus on what you see.
Less is beautiful. We specialize in the areas of design and storytelling that we feel we do best. Thus, we stay in our niche areas and commit to the long term. For example, we are currently focusing on interactive picture books for children.

At the moment we are busy with the longterm projects we are committed to. However, from time to time, we collaborate on projects other parties initiate.
We want to play a fair game in the area of art projects as well, and that's why we pay the fees according to the unions to those who work in our projects. We do our best to be able to give an accurate advance estimate for each project.
We hire our team on a project-by-project basis. We make use of the contacts we have made over the years, but we are also looking for new contributors. There will be also more Team Updates.
We do work on commercial projects. However, our focus is to promote art and artists, and make artistic work in the area of new technology meaningful and rewarding.
