Children's interactive picture book about little seal friends for the IOS platform.
Sissy the Seal (Hellä Hylje) project has been implemented with the support of EU, the Finnish Cultural Foundation and the Finnish Foundation for Nature Conservation. The goal of the project was to create a method for the realization of children's interactive picture books. As part of the project, experimental material was produced for both IOS and Android platforms. The first interactive Sissy the Seal e-book will be released in App Store during 2025. Sissy the Seal was realized by digital artist Katriina Ilmaranta and graphic artist/animator Anna Lahti.
In Sissy the Seal, there are two cheerful and temperamental little seals who observe the world within the framework of their own "seal logic". The solutions to the problems are sometimes exhilarating, but in the end the seal friends solve them, and at the same time learn something about the nature of the Baltic Sea. Sissy the Seal is intended for children aged 3-6.
